The Led Farmers are a full-power Irish folk outfit dedicated to the art of the "craic." Combining world-class musicianship—including an All-Ireland champion—with a mischievous, spontaneous spirit, they deliver a whirlwind of Irish classics and unique folk-rock originals. From major festivals to intimate venues, their high-energy performance is a guaranteed crowd-pleaser.
Derra is a high-energy powerhouse rooted in the soul of Irish folk, reimagined with a modern, infectious spirit. Known for their incredible versatility, the group boasts a deep repertoire that seamlessly spans from traditional Celtic roots to a full-scale contemporary covers band when the occasion calls for it.
Led by Greg Clifford, a Master’s-level composer with over 20 years on the world-renowned Temple Bar circuit, the band specializes in creating an atmosphere that is as vibrant as it is welcoming. Having graced Irish television and international stages, Greg’s magnetic presence ensures every performance is a masterclass in entertainment—designed to get audiences off their feet and singing along.
Without a doubt, this trio consists of Switzerland's most active Celtic/Folk music performers. The two time All-Ireland champion from County Clare Brendan Walsh who now lives in Luzern is well known for his virtuosic banjo playing and his concerts with the Irish folk band 'The Led Farmers'. Helen Maier of the folk group 'Helen Maier & The Folks' is quickly becoming Switzerland's mostly loved fiddler. With regular TV performances, funding awards plus most recently working on well known rapper Bligg's new album, she is a shinning light in the Swiss music scene. Raoul Morat got the highest possible mark you can receive in his 'Master's In Music Performance' guitar concert, which in Switzerland is a 6.0! He has recorded with great acclaim the music of Schubert and Mozart but can also be found strumming Irish guitar rhythms every Thursday night in the Shamrock Bar in Luzern. He also plays with Celtic folk band 'Áed' and has been to Ireland many times as a performer. One can expect at their concerts traditional Celtic tunes and songs along with some original compositions.
Gráinne Hunt and Brendan Walsh are a contemporary folk duo dedicated to the art of the Irish ballad. Their partnership—formed during their time at NUI Maynooth—is a sophisticated blend of Gráinne’s "captivating and spellbinding" vocals (often compared to icons like Natalie Merchant) and Brendan’s intricate, champion-level instrumentation.
In 2019, they launched their acclaimed project, "Songs from Ireland," a curated collection of traditional pieces reimagined through modern arrangements. Recorded in the heart of Lucerne, Switzerland, the album serves as a bridge between their deep Irish roots and their lives as international performers.
Whether performing in intimate acoustic venues or on grand European stages, the duo is known for a rare musical chemistry that breathes new life into centuries-old stories. Their performances are a journey through the haunting beauty and rhythmic energy of the Irish songbook, delivered with a polished, contemporary edge.
